We always follow strict guidelines when working on your hardwood floors. Our dust-free refinishing process consists of the following steps:

Initial Inspection: We consider visible damage, stains, fading, color instability, wear, and other factors when determining the most appropriate plan of attack.
Pre-Vacuuming: All dry soil, dust, dander, hair and other insolubles will be vacuumed from the floor before we being. This lays a the groundwork for a proper dust-free refinishing experience.
Edging: All corners and baseboards will be vacuumed and any air vents removed and washed.
Pre-treatment: This process targets heavily soiled areas as well as chemical residues and waxes that need to be removed before a clean can be performed.
Agitation: The agitation process helps built-up chemical residues and waxes from the finish.
Extraction: Now that the dirt and old finish has been emulsified if can be extracted from the surface.
Deep Cleaning: Specialized tools perform a deep scrub of the hardwood to remove any stubborn build-up.

We offer two types of cleaning:

1) Cleaning: A cheaper option to a dust-free refinishing - this option is great for floors that just "need a little love". These are considered maintenance deep cleanings and should be performed every two to three years for best results.

2) Refinishing: Our flagship process that completely removes any finish or wax buildup from the floors, provides a deep clean, and an application of a water-based polyurethane. This process restores your floors to a like-new condition.

Our hardwood cleaning prices are based on the square footage of the areas we are asked to clean or restore. Your cleaning team will perform a proper pre-inspection before starting any work. During this inspection they will gather the measurements and ask about any areas of concern you may have.

Prices for hardwood cleaning start at $1.50 per square foot and our dust-free refinishing service starts at $2.50 psf.

How long will I have to stay off the floors?

Depending on the realitive humidity at the time of cleaning the floors will usually take about two hours to setup. After this time light foot traffic will not hurt the finish but rugs and heavy furniture should not be placed on the floors any sooner than 24 hours.
