Founder Kevin Ivers said the new website is easier to navigate from a computer or a mobile device and performs much faster than the old website, with load times averaging a full-page load in under a second. The menu has also been changed so that it is shorter and more user-friendly. The revamped look still presents everything people need to know about the company.
“You have to grow with the times. Our old website worked well for what it was, but it just became outdated. We had to have something that fits the way people use the internet today,” he said.
Mr. Ivers said the new website does a better job of explaining what the company does in short segments. “Today’s internet users want information fast with no distracting filler,” he added.
“We removed anything that didn’t provide value to the user or that was just taking up space. We kept a few things, like our blog. Our customers tell us they need the blog because it helps them manage their home surfaces,” Mr. Ivers said. We invite readers to let us know about flooring cleaning topics we should cover. The new interactive website will have links to the company’s social media channels so people can follow the company there.
The website also does a rapid job of explaining what the offered services are. Mr. Ivers gave this example: Many people don’t know that professional carpet cleaning should include a proper pre-vacuuming.
“It’s very important that customers and future customers be able to find the information they want as quickly as they can. Our new website accomplishes that,” he said.
